Finally at Tumaini!

We all arrived safe and sound in Nairobi after another long and uneventful flight. All our luggage arrived on time - that's five years in a row with teams varying from 14 to 31 members, with not one piece of luggage lost. There's only one explanation for that, and that is God's provision! We got through immigration and customs without incident, although we had to pay some "duty". We were met at the terminal by the team from SWOK - so good to see them again after a year. We traveled with our excellent drivers Rufus, Happy James, Fred, Paul and others with two cargo vans and four vans of passengers. We left Nairobi by 4:10 and arrived in Nakuru at the Tumaini Cottages and Conference Center in time for a late dinner.  We followed with a team meeting and headed for our room assignments at 9:40. We are all going to enjoy a night's sleep finally after over thirty hours of traveling by plane and vehicle!
In the morning, we leave for a six hour van ride to Bondo near the shores of Lake Victoria. From there, we'll travel for the next three days to the islands in Lake Victoria to do hygiene training and water filter distribution to two thousand families on these islands.
We finally were able to get some individual and group pictures once we reached Tumaini, and the rest of this post will be those. But the blogger app is acting up, so I'm not sure how many will load, but I'll try.
See you tomorrow!
